AI and Public
Infrastructure: Our Vision for Water Infrastructure DX

The 'mechanization of intelligence' through AI marks a new turning point in human civilization. Just as the steam engine replaced physical labor and computers took over clerical work, AI is now venturing into the realms of human judgment and creativity. We are convinced that its influence will continue to expand, fundamentally reshaping societal structures. We view this change not merely as a technological innovation but as a pivotal moment that challenges the very way society functions.

In this era, AIBOS places the utmost importance on 'ethics' and 'passion.' We harness AI not for the benefit of a select few but as an intellectual foundation that enables society to function better as a whole. We believe that supporting decision-making in a manner that all stakeholders can agree upon and ensuring transparency in the decision-making process is the essence of ethics in the AI age. Our mission is to promote evidence-based policy-making (EBPM) and support social decision-making grounded in data and rationale.

At the same time, it is 'passion' that underpins our ethics. Analyzing complex and often contradictory real-world issues one by one and implementing them into society through systems is a meticulous and persistent endeavor. Even as AI's capabilities expand, it must be rooted in human presence and a desire to improve society. AIBOS will continue to be a company that sets its direction through ethics and advances with passion.

As an 'implementer' bringing the power of AI to the core areas that support society, AIBOS will continue to take on responsible challenges. Our guiding principle is always the question, 'Will this technology enrich society 100 years from now?' Beyond technology lies the sustainable happiness of people and society, and we will continue to walk towards that goal with intelligence and passion.

Guided by the philosophy of establishing and passing on systems that support the foundation of society to the next generation, AIBOS focuses its efforts on public sector DX. Among these, water infrastructure is the foundation of all life and economic activity, requiring sustainable development across entire watersheds, from stable water supply to flood control. AIBOS aims to build safe and reliable water infrastructure for the next 100 years through collaborative DX that integrates technology with on-the-ground expertise.

Japan's water supply is quietly facing a crisis. A vast amount of infrastructure developed during the period of rapid economic growth is aging simultaneously, and the skilled technicians who have supported it are reaching retirement age one after another. Additionally, the intensification of natural disasters due to climate change is having a serious impact on regional safety. These issues are not merely about renewal or efficiency; they require a complete redesign of the societal foundation itself.

In response to this crisis, AIBOS promotes DX that is closely aligned with on-the-ground realities. We view AI not as something that 'takes away human jobs' but as something that 'preserves human wisdom for the future,' and we digitize and inherit the experiences of skilled personnel. By linking and analyzing valuable information such as water leakage, water quality, and pipelines that lie dormant in each municipality and utility, we support EBPM (evidence-based policy-making), building a resilient and sustainable water infrastructure driven by both experience and data. As a company that 'shapes the voices of the field with technology,' we sincerely address the public challenge of water.

CEO / Development Lead

Redesigning the future of public infrastructure that supports the foundation of society.

Founding member since 2024. B.S. in Civil Engineering from Kyoto University, M.S. in Civil Engineering from Kyoto University Graduate School of Engineering. Comprehensively leads technology development, including system development, deterioration analysis of public assets using machine learning, optimization proposals for water supply management using hydraulic simulation simulators, and various product developments. He is also committed to building a development system in which Africa and Japan collaborate. During his student days, he conducted research on agricultural land analysis using hydrological models and simulations of rainfall and waterway networks at the Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University. He became deeply fascinated with programming while experiencing large-scale calculations using computational servers, and expanded his interest to the fusion of social infrastructure and information science.
