Development of a Water Pipe Downsizing Simulator

Built a downsizing model using an algorithm that can generically set various conditions such as water pipe diameter standards based on the provided pipe data.

Outcomes

Developed a generic model that serves as one of the guidelines for future pipe network construction.
Presented cost reduction effects through downsizing.

Public DXMachine LearningWater Infrastructure

Development and Demonstration of an AI Deterioration Prediction System for Manhole Images

Developed a type determination AI that automatically determines the type of manhole cover from images taken on site, and developed a deterioration determination AI that performs automatic clustering (automatic classification) based on the darkness and ratio of rust.

Outcomes

The type determination AI correctly determined the type with an accuracy of about 95%.
The introduction of the tool is expected to reduce work hours by about 2,000 hours annually.
